Different golfers have different natural shot tendencies (some hit a draw; some hit a fade) and so do different clubheads. Some clubheads are designed to promote one type of ball flight over another. The wood fitting gives us the ability to match your swing with the appropriate type of clubhead to optimize your performance.

During the driver fitting, we use numerous test clubs as well as Callaway's Opti-Fit system so that you get the best possible choice for your bag. At the conclusion of the fitting, you will know the appropriate club characteristics for your swing.

All of our Club Fitting Services are overseen by Ed Grabowy, named 2002-2003 Worldwide Clubmaker of the Year by the Golf Clubmaker's Association. Ed has been the head Club Fitter at The Golf Doctor since 1991. Ed is certified as an Advanced Professional "Class A" Clubmaker by the Professional Clubmaker's Society, as well as being certified as a Professional Clubmaker by the Golf Clubmaker's Association.Ed Grabowy Served from 2002-2004 on The Board of Directors of The Professional Clubmaker's Society.Prior to joining The Golf Doctor, Ed's technical background is in engineering. He has a M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Biomedical) from Rutgers University, and worked in Quality Assurance for Large Biomedical Equipment companies.
